WHY THE GIFT OF RECEIVING IS CRUCIAL FOR THE BELIEVER

Let me start right off by saying this statement:

WE ALL NEED TO LEARN HOW TO BE QUALIFIED RECEIVERS

Now, with that said, I am going on to my point.

WHY SOME OF US CHRISTIANS ARE ALMOST ALWAYS RETURNING BACK TO EGYPT

We all know how God, through  Moses, led the children of Israel out of Egypt.  We also know that they were in the wilderness for approximately 40 years because they did not believe what God had said with regards to them going into the promise land.  But why did they not believe?  They did not believe because even though they were led out of Egypt, they really never left it behind. Let’s take a look at that.

WARNING.....DON’T GET TONGUE-TIED

There are many gifts of the Spirit.  However, one gift that I feel causes the most debate in the Body of Christ is the gift of speaking in tongues.   Why? Because the enemy does not want us to take advantage of that gift.

Paul provides good discussion about speaking in tongues in 1 Corinthians 14.  While that piece of scripture compares and contrasts speaking in tongues with prophesying, the practical lesson in it is that we speak more effectively to God when we speak in tongues.

WHY IT IS CRITICAL TO CHECK THINGS OUT

I normally don’t rant and rave too much about anything.  However, I came across an article regarding health and the Gospel that just ticked me off.  You can read it for yourselves at:  www.icr.org/article/gospel-health.

Anyhow, the article talks about Jesus and the people He healed.  The article goes on to indicate that Jesus’ healing was an “initial ministry” and that it was a sign of things to come. Furthermore, the article seems to indicate that Jesus and the apostles could not heal anyone after a certain point.  The scriptures that the article uses to backup its claim are:  Mark 6:5; Matthew 17: 14-16, and 2 Timothy 4:20.  I want to take a look at these!
